An official Reuther H.S. student picture I.D. is required to
check out any materials from the Reuther H.S. Library.
Library Procedures/Behavior
Students and teachers are not permitted to check out materials for other
individuals.
General Books
Checkout - 3 weeks
2 books plus 1 magazine per person
Non-Print Material
Checkout - 1 week
Periodicals, current monthly magazines and reference books are available for overnight checkout only. Non-current Magazines are available in addition to 2 library books and will be checked out for the same period of time as books.
Lost or Late Books
Books not returned within 30 days will be considered lost and charged a lost fee equaling cost of book. After each quarter, unpaid fines will be sent to Collections Agency with additional $25 fee.
1. Make sure you have an orange Library pass filled out and signed by your teacher. Sign the attendance log when not with a class and punch in your pass.
2. No cell phone use; no texting, no electronics, head gear, iPods, MP3 players etc., backpacks, big purses, hats or head covering allowed in library.
3. Current student ID is required to check out all materials
4. No loud talking please.
5. Follow computer network rules listed in library
6. Remain with your class in the area assigned
7. Be courteous and respectful to staff & students
8. Students on a pass, that are not on task, will be sent back to class
9. NO gum, food, drinks, or water into the library
10. Do not leave your personal belongings behind. Bring your own pencils, pens, paper and supplies.
11. Only print documents that are needed. Please copy and paste internet information into
a word document before printing.
Library Rules
Downloading computer programs is NOT allowed
Playing games is NOT allowed
Using email or chat rooms is NOT allowed
Using computers for non-school work is NOT allowed
Disrupting network operations is NOT allowed
Accessing other user’s files or accounts is NOT allowed
Tampering with computers is NOT allowed
Changing default settings of the computers unless directed by staff is NOT allowed
Consequences
1st Offense – Verbal warning
2nd Offense – 1 week suspension of all computer use & referral
3rd Offense – 4 week suspension of all computer use & referral
