Project SUCCESS

(Schools Using Coordinated Community Efforts to Strengthen Students)

PROJECT SUCCESS is considered a model program and is supported by the Safe & Secure Schools Grant.

PROJECT SUCCESS is a program that prevents and reduces adolescent substance use and abuse and other high risk behaviors.

Project Success = Drug Free Students

Students, like adults, cannot recognize and achieve their dreams when they are abusing or addicted to alcohol and other drugs.

PROJECT SUCCESS, a component of the Safe Schools program, has come to Reuther to assist students in continuing to be drug free.

PROJECT SUCCESS is also here to help students and parents who are experiencing alcohol and other drug abuse.  If you are concerned about a student’s alcohol/drug abuse contact Reuther staff member Laurie Bonnar at 262-359-7853 or e-mail her at lbonnar@kusd.edu .

Project SUCCESS Program Components

  •  Prevention Education Series – An eight-session Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug prevention program.
  • Individual and Group Counseling – Counselors and Social Workers conduct time limited individual sessions and/or group counseling at school.
  • Parent Programs – PROJECT SUCCESS includes parents as collaborative partners in prevention through parent education programs.
  • Referral – Students and parents may be offered a referral for assessment and related intensive counseling, or other services at appropriate agencies or practitioners in the community
